Emergency Management Tech Project Manager

Job Responsibilities

To lead the development of an emergency management and business continuity planning technology platform that will allow Connect Consulting Services’ clients to create and access their emergency management and business continuity plans on any mobile device.

Candidate Background

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 2-3 years of planning experience in emergency management and/or business continuity planning, training and exercises
  • Strong program management skills required with technology development experience
  • Has > 2-3 years’ experience managing, leading, or coordinating a software technology project
  • Has experiences with at least three of the following: writing product requirements, product management, procurement management, UI/UX, market research, market analysis, and product line management
  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Must be able to travel
  • Will be working in our downtown Sacramento office and remotely
  • References will be requested upon scheduling of an interviewing of an interview

Emergency Management Intern

Job Responsibilities

If you are interested in pursuing a career in emergency management or business continuity, this is the opportunity for you! In addition to basic administrative tasks such as data entry, making copies, and reception, you will contribute to our projects and learn about emergency management and business continuity planning by conducting research, reviewing plans, posting updates on our website and social media, helping prepare for exercises and drills, preparing and sending newsletters and marketing materials, and much more.

You will also have opportunities to meet and develop relationships with professionals in the emergency management, business continuity, and health care fields.

Candidate Background

  • Interest or experience in health care, emergency management, business, or communications a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Strong research and qualitative analysis skills
  • Experience with social media
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work autonomously and participate as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience with office/administrative procedures


  • $12/hour and school credit
